Hamilton, Ontario indie-emo rockers Math Club have a brand new single, titled Water to Wine.
A song about finding a balance between taking upon oneself the burdens of everyday life, and dropping everything to wait for divine intervention, Water to Wine is Math Club's first new release since their debut full-length album, 2016's There's a Light on Upstairs.
Taking influence from bands like Death Cab for Cutie, Touché Amoré, MewithoutYou, and Pedro the Lion, Math Club's sound is a unique blend of heavy and soft. Having shared the stage with bands such as Listener (Tangled Talk Records), Ellevator (Arts & Crafts), Basement Revolver (Fear of Missing Out), and The Homeless Gospel Choir (A-F Records), the band has been forging a name for themselves in Hamilton's indie-rock scene since 2014.
With plans to head back into the studio to begin work on a sophomore EP, to collaborate and tour with local and international friends, and to continue to expand their loyal fan base within and outside of Hamilton, Math Club is gearing up for a fruitful year in 2018.
